Pastor Thelma gave us much to think about with her sermon "The Basics of Our Faith".  Ever the teacher, Pastor taught us today of the importance of keeping a check list.  She spoke of the list created by an Intensive Care specialist and anesthesiologist credited with eliminating the spreading of hospital infections.  She reminded us that we, as Christians would do well to keep such a list which would remind us of what God requires of us.  The list: (1) "Love the Lord, your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself." (Luke 10:25-27)  (2) "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20) (3) "He has showed you, O man, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." (Micah 6:8)  Pastor asks us "How are you doing?"  Indeed, we have much to think about.
